Resident Judge of Court of Appeal Justice Suresh Chandra has passed away.
The Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde says his death is a great loss not just to those of who knew him and who worked with him, but to the judiciary and to Fiji as a whole.
Pryde says Justice Chandra will be remembered as a thoughtful, gentle, and considerate man with high intellectual standards, compassion and commitment.
He says Justice Chandra held the interests of Fiji and its people dear in his heart.
