Rerun sparks controversy
The ACS senior girls relay team which includes Elenoa Sailosi came in third and later protested that they were placed in the wrong lane.
The issue here is that only the first and second placed school will go through to the Coca Cola Games.
ACS claims that they were earlier told that they would run in lane 3 however the starters placed them in lane 2 which was muddy.
However, the ACS runners agreed to run in lane 2 and came in third.
Dilkusha Methodist came in first.
ACS only protested after coming in third.
Meet Manager Josaia Tuinamata said the rerun has been approved.
When asked by Fijivillage if the first two qualifiers refuse to have the rerun, Tuinamata said their decision is final.
Meanwhile, Sila Central Collage won the Boys division and Adi Cakobau School retained the Girls division title in the Triple N Zone.
In the Boys division, Sila won with 15 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze, Lelean Memorial High School came in second with 6 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze while Baulevu High School came in third with 5 gold and 2 silver.
In the Girls division, Adi Cakobau retained their title winning with 31 gold, 16 silver and 9 bronze, Dilkusha Secondary came in second with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze while Sila Central finished in third place with 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.
