The Rewa Dairy Corporative Limited has confirmed that they have asked for significant increase in prices for butter and milk.
CEO, Ratu Savanaca Seniloli said he met with Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama last week and told him about losses being faced by the company as a result of rising costs in imported raw materials.
He is pleased that the Prime Minister has issued a directive for the increase in the prices of butter and milk.
PIB secretary, Lucy Naimawi has refused to comment on the matter.
