The Crime stoppers Committee West Chairperson has requested people not to leave their drinks unattended in nightclubs after receiving reports that some drinks were spiked and girls ended up being raped after clubbing.
Prudence Rouse said they met with senior police officers and Lautoka City Council officials including the Mayor yesterday where this serious issue was raised.
Rouse said this is the fifth such case reported to them.
Rouse said the drugs that are being used in the drinks also has a long term effect and will make you insensible.
Police are expected to comment later today.
