The Suva Water Supply Department is calling the public to report any illegal water metre connection to avoid having their supply cut.
Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said every year an unaccounted amount of water is lost for those living from the Suva to Nausori Corridor, and majority is lost through illegal meter connection.
Nagalu said once they find such connections, the owner of the meter will have his supply cut off and pay $80 to reconnect the water supply.
