The Public Service Commission confirms that payments for the renting of Namosi House which houses the Ministry of Health in Toorak have been withheld as negotiations are underway with the Namosi Provincial Development Company to try and reduce the rent rate.
Permanent Secretary for Public Service Taina Tagicakibau confirmed to Fijivillage News that there are several matters that need to be sorted out before any payments are made for the renting of the building.
She referred all further queries to the Finance Ministry.
Namosi Provincial Development Company Chairman Kiniviliame Taukeinikoro told Fijivillage News earlier that they have not received any rent payment for the renting of Namosi House at Army Street, Toorak and are concerned that no payment has been made to the bank regarding the $7 million loan the Province took to construct the building.
