The rent freeze on all residential and ground rent will be extended to 31st March, 2010.
The Prices and Incomes Board said that it has issued the Counter Inflation (Rent Increase Restriction on Residential and Ground Rent) which is now in effect.
It said that no person including the state shall charge a rent that exceeds the rent applicable to those premises as at 2nd March 2007.
PIB has reminded landlords that any person including the state should keep records of letting agreements and or receipts for the board to see.
