The amount charged for the renting out for Government quarters will depend on the amount of renovation carried out.
Permanent Secretary for PSC Parmesh Chand said that apart from the value of the land, the rent will now depend on how much work is done on the house to make it available.
At the moment, 12 quarters are rented out with work continuing on other quarters which are expected to be also put up for rent later this year.
Chand added that an average of around $1,000 a year for one quarters is currently being charged for the 12 quarters however this all depended on the maintenance work done.
