The Namosi Provincial Company is concerned about the delay in the releasing of rent money from the Lands Ministry regarding the renting of Namosi House currently occupied by the Ministry of Health.
Company Managing Director Kiniviliame Taukeinikoro said it’s been a 10 month run around and they are happy that the Finance Ministry has finally released the money to the Lands Ministry.
However, Taukeinikoro said he is hoping that the Lands Ministry will release the money as soon as possible since they have a commitment to the commercial bank.
He said the rent arrears owed by the government has amounted to more than $1 million for the last 10 months.
Taukeinikoro said they been paying $30,000 interest a month to the bank.
