While most businesses are expecting an increase in sales this Christmas season, some of the market vendors at the Suva market are expecting the opposite.

Suva United Vendors Association President Jone Waqatuinayau said the renovations currently being done at the Suva market has affected their daily sales.

Waqatuinayau said most of the vendors have experienced a huge drop in sales as most of their customers are going to other smaller markets which have access to parking. He adds that he feels sorry for the vendors who come as far as Naitasiri who have to endure sitting out in the hot sun opposite the bus stand.

Fijivillage News asked some other market vendors on how they have been affected.
