Chief’s coach Dave Rennie plans to further his coaching career overseas when his contract finishes at the end of the 2017 Super Rugby season.
Rennie is viewed as a leading contender to coach the All Blacks one day but his decision to head abroad presents New Zealand Rugby with an interesting situation when they have to replace current head coach Steve Hansen.
Rennie is keen to coach overseas as he believes Hansen will stay on with the world champions until the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs play the Hurricanes at 7.35pm tomorrow.
