The Fiji Teachers Union is calling on the Fiji National Provident Fund to relook into its new policies for the benefit of its members.

General Secretary Agni Deo Singh said the FNPF should derive a formula whereby its members are able to borrow reasonably, tighten up its administration and see that it maximizes efficiency and reduces operational costs instead of changing the policies.

Singh said they support the call from FNPF for members to save for their retirement age, however he said charging fees across the board and changing policies will affect the poor which is unfair.
