The Rama Krishna Fiji Relief Mission is liaising with our team on the ground in the Western Division to assist some of the worst affected families in the Nadi area.
Missions Sami Sadadan spoke to our news director Vijay Narayan to go to the assistance of families who were turned away by other officials when they went out in search of food.
The Latter Day Saint Church has also stepped in helping flood victims in the Western Division and teams are currently distributing clean water and food in Ba after listening to the reports on Fijivillage.
Organiser Lin Bothwell said currently they have 2 trucks carting water and are also in the process of distributing food rations that were sent in from their head office from Salt Lake City.
