An Economist believes that budgetary allocations should be released on a timely manner to have an efficient and productive civil service.
USP Academic Professor Biman Prasad while speaking on leadership, good governance and accountability said that the interim government should ensure that allocation in the budget is managed in a way that funds are released on time and work allocated to civil servants is done.
Dr Prasad said the poor people in the country suffer the most when civil servants do not do their work on time as an efficient civil service is one of the factors which can help reduce poverty in the country.
