Relatives of the 12 Raiwaqa bus fire victims will be meeting this weekend to make a decision on whether they will claim for compensation.

Natokalau village advisor Tokasa Vodivodi told Fijivillage, the families of the relatives have been discussing the issue and this meeting will bring them together to enable them to reach a collective agreement on whether to pursue the issue of compensation.

Vodivodi said she had also been liaising with other members of the families who are staying in the village on the island of Ovalau and they have also agreed to call the meeting of families.

Twelve people died after the tragic bus fire in Malaqereqere Sigatoka more than three months ago.
