The Prisons Commissioner, Brigadier Iowane Naivalurua said the society has a major role to play in their efforts to run rehabilitation programmes in Prisons.

Naivalurua said the rehabilitation programmes will see that prisoners are taught ways to find a better living after completing their term in prison.

He stresses that the Churches and the Vanua should now start considering ways on how it can help ex Prisoners to improve their lives.
