Refrain from violence-Police urge
Divisional Crime Officer Western ASP Luke Rawalai's call comes after a 40 year old man allegedly hacked his 40 year old wife and has being charged with attempted murder.
It is alleged that Mohammad Asif hacked his wife with a cane knife after a domestic dispute and appeared in the Ba court charged with attempted murder.
He has been remanded in custody till 10th July.
The wife is recovering at Lautoka Hospital.
Meanwhile, a 32 year old man of Ba who allegedly impersonated a military intelligence officer on Monday has been remanded in custody.
It is alleged that Olisi Sanadali, an unemployed man of Vitogo, Lautoka, told a car owner that he was a military intelligence officer and he is involved in dynamite operations for which he needed the car.
He convinced the owner and drove away in the car which was later found abandoned with dynamite found inside.
He has been charged with four counts of impersonation, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, being in possession of explosives and corruption.
He has been remanded in custody till 7th July.
