The Acting Police Commissioner is urging everyone to refrain from buying pirated music as it has a bad affect on local artists.

While speaking at the opening of the Procera Music festival last night in Nausori, Ravi Narayan highlighted that local artists survive on income from the sale of their music.

He says each individual should play their role to eradicate piracy.

Meanwhile, Narayan admitted that they are facing challenges in enforcement when it comes to the selling of pirated music. 

He added they can overcome this if all the stakeholders work together.
