The Education Ministry has warned teachers to refrain from drinking yaqona during school hours.
Education Minister, Filipe Bole said a circular has been sent to all the schools, clearly stating that yaqona should not be consumed in the school premises during school hours.
He said it has been noted in the past that teachers use to drink yaqona till late at night and come to classes the next morning.
According to Bole any teacher found breaching the directive will be taken to task.
He added that this step is taken to ensure that children do not copy the teachers and that classes are not affected.
