People are being urged to refrain from using the major highways at this stage as several roads remain flooded around the country.
Works Ministry officials are now on the ground to carry out the assessment whether the Kings and Queens Highways are safe to travel.
The Kings Road towards Rakiraki, is closed to traffic but from the Naidovi Police Post to Rakiraki Bridge is open only to 4WD vehicles.
