Less than a week out from the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum, from which Fiji has been banned for the first time, Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama says he will fight to ensure the reforms his government is undertaking is achieved.
In a rare interview with Australian broadcaster, SBS One Dateline, Commodore Bainimarama spoke to Mark Davis on the upcoming forum and lashed out at Kevin Rudd and his government.
Commodore Bainimarama again questioned why Australia and New Zealand continue to oppose the proposed electoral changes.

Fiji will not be present at the Pacific Islands Leaders forum to be hosted by Australia in Cairns next week, however Fiji is still expected to take center stage at the talks.

Commodore Bainimarama reiterated that Australia and New Zealand are bulldozing their way in the Forum to push their agenda against Fiji.
Bainimarama said Fiji cannot wait twenty years to bring about the required reforms and only the military can achieve these radical changes.
The Pacific Islands Leaders Forum will be held from the 4th to 7th August in Cairns.
