The Department of Town and Country Planning in the past years have been challenged on its development approval process roles and this arises the need for it to be reformed.

Those were comments from the Interim Minister of Labour and Local Government, Lehkram Vayeshnoi at a workshop in Nadi organized by the Town and Country Planning Department.

Vayeshnoi said it is the concern of the present interim Government to urgently identify ways in which the department can improve its services.

Meanwhile the minister is calling all stakeholders to work together because they have a very important role to play and contribute to the process.
