Fiji rugby's top referee James Bolabiu was surprised to see the improvement in the knowledge of 7s rugby shown in the first leg of the IRB World 7s Series in Dubai and George.

Bolabiu was the only referee selected from Fiji to officiate in both tournaments and even controlled some of the big games in the quarterfinal stages.

Speaking to Village Sports, Bolabiu said the experienced gained in the two tournaments will help him in more tournaments next year.
