Commonwealth Envoy Sir Paul Reeves is optimistic that he can find ways to get all political leaders to reach common ground in resolving the differences over the electoral reforms in Fiji.
After revealing this morning that all political leaders have agreed to participate in the President's Forum to discuss electoral reforms, Sir Paul said this would be a positive sign to the international community.
Reeves reiterated that the Commonwealth is independent in its assistance to Fiji.
He revealed that he will prepare a draft Terms of Reference for the President's Forum, and will offer the draft for the consideration of the Commonwealth Secretary General. He will also consult the Interim PM and hopes that the draft that comes back from the Commonwealth Secretary General will then be endorsed by the Interim Government and political leaders.
Sir Paul Reeves said the President's Forum is expected to start work by the end of August.
