The reduced voting age should encourage the young people to be responsible not only to cast their vote but to take part in the leadership of the country.

This was the response of NCBBF member Ratu Meli Vesikula to the question asked by a member of the public present at the consultation on the draft People's Charter at Vashist Muni Primary school in Navua last night.

Vesikula also told the 40 people at the forum that they have also proposed a code of conduct bill that will apply to the first parliament that goes into power after the next general elections.
