After the ninth round of Super Rugby, the Brumbies continue to cement their lead at the top of the points table.

The Brumbies are currently on 33 points followed closely by the defending champion the Chiefs on 29 while the Sharks are on 26.

Meanwhile, Fijian born Patrick Osborne scored a try for the Chiefs yesterday but it was not enough to help his side, as they went down 23-31 to the Reds.

It was the Queenslanders fourth straight victory over the defending super rugby champions.

A day after being left out of Australia's training squad for the British and Irish Lions tour Down Under, Quade Cooper's master class performance inspired the Reds to a resounding victory.

Meanwhile, looking at other matches, the Blues outclassed the Hurricanes 28-6, a last minute drop goal by the Kings saw them beat the Rebels 30-27, Force beat the Crusaders 16-14, Stormers won over the Sharks 22-15 and the Bulls beat the Cheetahs 26-20 this morning.
