The Reds secured their first ever victory over the Brumbies at Suncorp Stadium when they beat the men from Canberra 20-13 last night.

The result is crucial for the reigning champions as they overtook the Waratahs and the Rebels and now trail the Brumbies by two points.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs recorded a fifth consecutive Super Rugby victory when they beat the Western Force 20-12 taking them to the top of the New Zealand conference.

Sonny Bill Williams combined with his cousin Tim Nanai-Williams to score the match clinching try.

In another match last night, the Hurricanes won their fourth Super Rugby match of the season when they outclassed the Sharks 42-18.

The Hurricanes outscored the Sharks by six tries to two with three tries in the first half and three in the second half.

In today’s lone match at 7.35pm, Highlanders will play Stormers.
