The Red Rock club will kick-start it’s local sevens series this weekend.
Tournament organizer and Red Rock team Manager Malakai Yamaivava says this is the build up to the main Red Rock 7’s on the 27th and 28th of next month with the prize money of $30,000.
The main tournament that will be held at the ANZ Stadium will include the top sixteen teams from the first and second tournament.
The first tournament this weekend at Ratu Cakobau Park is for the teams in the Central Division while the second tournament will be held in the Western division.
The top eight teams from each division will automatically qualify for the main tournament.
Meanwhile the teams that have confirmed their participation in the first Red Rock 7's are defending champions Wardens Gold, Wardens Green, Uluinakai 7's champion the Uluinakau Green, Police, Wainimala, Newborn Waibasaga, Lomaiviti Babas and the Covenant Brothers.
The first Red Rock 7's tournament will be held this weekend at Ratu Cakobau Park with the prize money of $2,000 and $1,000 for the runners-up.
