The Red Fire camp is now starting to deliver the results for its supporters. 

Marist Brothers High School has taken the lead in the boys division medal tally with 6 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze. 

Looking at the Fijivillage Medal tally of the 2012 Coca Cola Games:

Marist Brothers High School leads in the boys division with 6 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze. 
 
Suva Grammar is in second place with 5 gold and 3 silver. 
 
Ratu Kadavulevu School is in third place with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze.  

In the girls division, Suva Grammar leads with 3 gold 1 silver and 2 bronze.

ACS is in second place with 3 gold and 2 bronze while Saint Johns is in third place with 2 gold and 1 silver. 

Holy Cross and Bemana Secondary is next with 2 gold each.
 
Marist has broken another record and won another gold in the field events.

Intermediate Boys William Fall has broken the Shot Put record with a throw of 15.72m breaking the old record set back in 2001 by Shaun Kemueli.

Fall said that he did expect to break the record and that his throw today was still not his personal best and that he dedicates his winning gold to a fellow student.


Setareki Matau of Marist won gold and broke the 14 year old record in the Intermediate Boys Discus event in the last hour.

Matau's record throw was 47.1 metres and he broke Sikipio Fihaki's 46.41 metre record set in 1998.

Matau also said the Marist athletes are confident of doing well this year.


Angus Antonio of Marist has also won gold in the Junior Boys Shot Put.

Marist Brothers High School's Zubair Dean earlier won gold in the Intermediate Boys 1,500 metres.

Dean who was in Suva Muslim College last year said his father who is his main trainer always had a dream for him to win gold for Marist.
 

Farisiko Mualivu won gold for Suva Grammar in the Junior Boys 1,500 metres final. 

Epeli Batisila of Nakauvadra Secondary claimed the gold medal in the Senior Boys 1,500 metres event. 

Emosi Bure of QVS took silver while Ashneel Nand of Tavua College took bronze.

Batisila who took the silver last year said he had set his target to beat Bure this year.

He also said the training in the rocky highlands three times in a day has paid off for him.

Marika Matabalei of RKS has taken gold in the Intermediate Boys Javelin.

RKS also won gold in the Senior Boys Shot Put.

Kiniviliame Tako has dedicated his gold medal win to all the RKS supporters.
 

Despite the floods and the devastation caused in the Western division, a Ba student has today become the first person in the history of the Coca Cola Games to record a high jump above the 2 metre mark in the intermediate grade. 

Malakai Kaiwalu of Xavier College broke the 12 year old Intermediate Boys High Jump Games record earlier today with a jump of 2.01 metres.

He broke FM96 Breakfast Show host and former Saint Thomas High School student, Antonio Rahiman's record of 1.96 metres which was set in 2000.  

He said he knows that some people were unsure about the performance of the students affected by the floods but this motivated him to break the record and win gold for Xavier.


Tony Rahiman who witnessed the jump at the National Stadium said he is happy that Kaiwalu has achieved his goal. Tony also presented the gold medal to Kaiwalu.
 
Mereseini Naidau of Jasper won gold in the girls division for the Lautoka based school when she came in first in the Open Girls 1,500 metres event. 

She said the recent floods did not deter her from continuing with her training and she thanks the supporters in Lautoka for her gold medal win. 

Jasper's second gold has come from Iliana Bakei-rewa in the Junior Girls High Jump.
 
Litiana Caucau of Saint Johns College won two gold medals for her school. 

She won the Intermediate Girls Discus and Shot Put.  

Saint Joseph's Secondary Loyola Nawalu has taken gold in the Senior Girls Long Jump event.

Adi Cakobau School's Miriama Senokonoko has won their first gold medal. 
 

Senokonoko also set a new record of 11.7 metres in the Intermediate Girls Triple Jump. She broke Wilma Cawi's record of 10.73 metres.

The 4x400 metres heats are currently underway.

The 100 metres heats start at 5.25 this afternoon.
 
The 400 metres finals commence at 7.25pm while the 100 metres finals start at 7.49 tonight so expect the medal tally to keep changing and we will be here to provide you continuous updates.
