The Fiji Red Cross Society is working together with the Ministry of Health to undertake an intensive vector spraying in the flood prone areas.
Red Cross Coordinator Vuli Gauna said they have distributed 40 back pack spray and 60 packets of insecticide chemicals to the affected people including the farmers.
Meanwhile, similar relief items were dispatched on government vessel DAUSOKO bound for the Yasawa Group where DISMAC officials are currently conducting assessment and relief work.
