The Fiji Taxi Union will soon write to the Transport Minister Timoci Natuva to reconsider the taxi fare rate and allow for an increase following the hike in fuel and LPG gas prices.
General Secretary Rishi Ram said other costs have also increased and they need an increase in order to survive.
The Transport Ministry is expected to comment later.
