The Chairman of the Fiji Media Council said it's important to recognise the hard work put in by those working in the media industry.
Daryl Tarte said working in the media field is never an easy job. He adds during these trying times faced in Fiji, it has been even more challenging for journalists to do their work, without having to receive alot of negative comments from everyone.
Tarte said the FAME Awards is an excellent way of recognising the hard work put in by everyone in the industry.
The FAME Awards will take place tonight at the Tradewinds Convention Centre.
