A bench warrant was issued against a receptionist of a law firm who was acting as an assurity for her brother charged with robbery with violence and unlawful use of motor vehicle but failed to appear in court with her brother.

Police Prosecutor Isikieli Raisuni told the court that on 3rd June last year Ilaisa Naca, Billiqita Tokivakadua, Joji Saiqa,Nemani Rocabi and Ikapote Makutu broke into the house Ian Douglas in Tamavua and stole assorted items and jewellery valued at $12,569 dollars and later fled in the company car registration DV 862.

The five had alleged that they were assaulted by Police however three accused failed to appear in court today.

The receptionist had signed an undertaking that she will appear in court on every court date with her brother but failed to do so.

Case has been adjourned till Friday.
