Recall of Tylenol products continue
The recall is part of McNeil Consumer Healthcare's initial recall which started in January this year.
According to the Company, the affected batch of Tylenol Extra Strength Caplet 50's - Batch AFA018 will have the product number on the side of the bottle label.
The recall was initiated after consumers reported a mouldy smell on the tablets and the company said that this is a result of the caplets used to ship the product.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said this is a voluntary recall where it is the role of the distributor to ensure all the affected products are taken off the shelves while the Ministry monitors to see that all products are removed.
Johnson and Johnson who is the main distributor in Fiji are in the process of removing the recalled products with staff collecting all affected inventories from urban and sub-urban outlets and warehouses within 2 weeks.
For the outer islands, their aim to have this area completed by the 1st week August.
