The Melbourne Rebels kicked off their 2015 Super Rugby season with a shocking 20-10 victory over seven time champions the Crusaders at AMI Stadium last night.
The two tries to one victory is the Melbourne Rebels first ever outside of Australia and is the Crusaders first loss to an Australian team in Round one since 2004 when they lost 19‑43 to the Waratahs.
Meanwhile in other games, Tevita Kuridrani scored a try last night as the Brumbies thrashed the Reds 47-3.
The Brumbies went to the top of the Super Rugby standings with 5 points while the Reds former captain James Horwill received the first red card of the season.
This morning the Hurricanes beat the Lions 22-8 with two tries.
In tonight’s clash, The Blues will host the Chiefs at 6.35pm.
