Any person who needs to operate as Real Estate Agents should be registered and given licences.
This is the comments made by Real Estate Agents Licensing Board Acting Registrar Ravinesh Murti as they want to protect the rights of the consumers.
Murti said the advantages of Residential and Tenancy Act coming up- it will give consumers standard rights and standard agreement and there will be less conflicts.
Meanwhile the Consumer Council of Fiji has revealed that majority of complaints they deal with are the landlord and tenant’s issues.
