Kieran Read will captain the All Blacks for the first time on New Zealand soil at a sold out Eden Park in tonight's test against France.

It will be a special occasion as his wife, parents and two brothers will be in the crowd with it doubling as a homecoming of sorts.

Read who will lead the All Blacks in a re-match of the 2011 World Cup final knows what to expect from France.

Meanwhile French captain Thierry Dusautoir said he loves playing against the All Blacks.

The match kicks off tonight at 7.35.

In other international tests, Argentina meet England tomorrow at 10am and South Africa play Italy also tomorrow at 3:15am.
