The Crusaders have named captain Kieran Read in their team to play the Blues tonight.

There are just two changes to the team that beat the Brumbies two weeks ago but the most notable is the return of Read from injury.

Read has been out with a toe injury for 7 weeks and returns to the number eight jersey moving Luke Whitelock to the bench.

The game will also be a special occasion for Andy Ellis as he marks his 100th Super Rugby cap.

Ellis started his Super Rugby career in 2006 and has since clocked up 8 seasons with the Crusaders, 26 All Blacks test caps, 2 Super Rugby titles, 3 ITM Cup titles and a World Cup.

The Crusaders will host the Blues at 7.35pm while the Brumbies will host the Waratahs at 9.40pm tonight.

In last night’s results, the Chiefs beat the Hurricanes 17-12, the Rebels secured their first ever victory over the Stormers 30-21 while the Sharks ended a five match losing streak beating the Western Force 23-13.
