Crusaders No.8 Kieran Read could miss his team’s final season clash against Western Force and the play offs if they qualify due to injury.
The Crusaders kept their Super Rugby title hopes alive on Friday when they beat the Chiefs 28-21 in Hamilton.
The victory may however come at a cost as Read suffered a heavy knock to his ribs which ended his game after 60 minutes.
Meanwhile, in matches played last night, Stormers beat Cheetahs 13-6, Lions beat Rebels 37-32 and the Blues defeated Western Force 32-9.
