After meeting with the Nadi Chamber of Commerce the interim Acting Minister for Industry and Tourism had revealed that they will now be handing submissions to the Ministry of Finance to re-consider the insurance cover for flooding.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said that the main issue raised was the financial constraints faced by small businesses.
Meanwhile, he also added that hotels in the Western Division have been given the all-clear and have been removed from the declared natural disaster areas.
He added that this is a very good move as Tourism is a very important sector in the economy.
