Team Fiji boxing’s Jese Ravudi settled for silver in the men’s light welter weight title after losing out to Albertini Jean of Tahiti.

Ravudi is the son of former light heavyweight champion Jo Ravudi and he settled for 28 points while Albertini won the gold medal on 34 points.

In other games held yesterday the Fiji Soccer team has booked a semifinal spot after they beat Cook Islands by 4 1.

Fiji’s goals came from Roy Krishna, Malakai Kainihewe, Maciu Dunadamu and Avinesh Swamy.

Fiji’s final game is against Papua New Guinea and they meet either New Caledonia or Vanuatu in the semifinals.

Fiji maintains third spot in the medal tally with 13 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze.

New Caledonia still lead with 59 gold, 47 silver and 20 bronze while Tahiti is second with 29 gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze.
