Suva Rugby Union chairman Vilikesa Rauca is likely to head the Provincial Rugby Union Review Team that will look at what the Fiji Rugby Union needs to do to improve the sport in the country.

Rauca is not new to the administration role of rugby as he has been with the Suva Rugby Union for the past 6 years and also an organizer of the biggest sevens tournament in the country, the Marist Sevens.

Suva, Naitasiri, Nadi and Nadroga will have most of their reps in the review team as they have the most number of clubs in Fiji.

Some of the issues the Provincial Union Review Team will look at are whether all of the 12 teams in the major union should be given a chance to challenge for the Farebrother Sullivan trophy, the rugby calendar in a season, the number of national sevens tournaments and the development work currently carried out by the High Performance Unit.

The Provincial Rugby Union Review Team will be named in January and will hand in their report to the FRU before the Digicel Cup kicks-off in May next year.
