Western Zone Coca Cola U-19 Tier 1 qualifier, Ratu Navula and Lomawai Secondary are travelling to Suva this weekend to stamp their mark as the team to beat in the Deans trophy.

Last year, Ratu Navula lost to current champion Lelean 22-8 in the semifinal while Lomawai was edged by Nasinu Secondary 8-5 in the second semifinal.

In the Western Zone final last week it was another close game where Ratu Navula came from behind to beat Lomawai 8-6 to earn the number 1 spot for this Saturday's quarter final.

Western Zone official, Lionel Danford said that both side's have players who have played in the Nadi and Nadroga U-20 provincial team which will be an added advantage to the two teams in the 1/4 finals.

Ratu Navula will take on Suva Grammar in the quarter final while Lomawai will face Lelean.

In the other U-19 game, RKS plays John Wesley and Nasinu up against Sila Central.

All of the Tier 1 and 2 quarter finals from the U-14 to the U-19 grades will be played at the TFL Stadium, Bidesi and Buckhurst on Saturday, starting at 8am.
