Police are currently questioning Bau High Chief, Ratu Apenisa Cakobau for allegedly assaulting a solider on Saturday night.
The Central Police Station has confirmed that Ratu Cakobau was brought in for questioning this morning.
According to police the soldier, who is the son of Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama suffered injuries on his face during the assault.
Ratu Cakobau is expected to be charged with Assault with Intent to Cause Grievous bodily harm.
Investigating officers have also confirmed that Ratu Apenisa Cakobau is expected to appear in court this afternoon.
