The DISMAC office said they are providing people with food rations on the report they get from the teams that are on ground doing the assessment work.
DISMAC Principal Officer Patiliai Dobui comments come as questions were being raised regarding the distribution of food rations to people in Koronivia, Nausori who were not affected by flood waters.
According to Dobui they maintain that Koronivia was one of the affected areas and flood rations are needed there.
Dobui added that people in this areas can return the food rations if they feel they have not been affected by the floods.
Meanwhile, a Christian Denomination has come at the right time to the flooded victims by donating 477 food packs to the District office in Sigatoka.
District Officer Nadroga Kaliova Bainivalu said the Seventh Day Adventist Church has been working closely with the DO's office and ration packs include food items biscuits, rice, sugar, milk, dhal and canned tuna.
Also, the Fiji Sevashra Sangha currently has teams spread out in the Western Division carrying out the 3rd phase of their relief help to school children who have been affected by the floods.
Assistant Secretary Akhilesh Prasad said following consultations with various school principals in the West they now have teams in Ba, Rakiraki, and Tavua who are visiting the schools distributing school supplies.
Prasad said they are also liaising with Save the Children Fiji to make sure they do not double up on giving supplies to the same children.
