Marist Brothers High School sprinter Vilisoni Rarasea is hoping to win the Senior Boys 100 metres in this year’s Coca Cola Games.

Rarasea is the top bet to win the blue ribbon title this year after clocking the fastest time of 10.65 seconds.

Rarasea will face stiff competition from Samisoni Bai of Sila Central High School and Leone Natusa of Queen Victoria School.

Marist last won the blue ribbon event in 2011 when Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro set a new record of 10.43 seconds.

Rarasea is hoping to follow the footsteps of former Marist athletes in the blue ribbon event which include Iowane Dovumatua, Isaac Mow and Viliame Na-suku.

The Coca Cola Games will be held on the 25th and 26th of this month.

The torch relay continues today. The torch will be at Gospel High School at 9am, Dudley High at 10am and John Wesley College at 10.45am.
