The Rama Krishna Mission is already on the road trying to assist the people most affected by the floods.
Speaking from Nadi, Swami Tananda said they started distributing meals to 400 people from Tuesday and many people in Korovuto and Nawaka are badly affected and need urgent assistance.
Swami Tananda said many students in Korovuto and Nawaka need assistance when the new school term starts in the West on Monday.
He said they will do proper assessments to get the actual number of students who need assistance.
