Ram dedicates first gold medal win to mum
That is the sentiment of Form Six student of Bhawani Dayal Arya College, Asitosh Ram after bagging the first gold medal on offer in the boys division when he finished first in the senior boys 1,500metres this morning in the Triple N Zone.
Speaking to Fijivillage Sports after the win, Ram said that he came to the zone with one aim and that was to win.
Meanwhile, Adi Cakobau School long distance runner Akesa Drotini also bagged gold for the defending champs and she said that she has set her eyes on the national finals.

In the girls division:
Adi Cakobau School lead with 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze while second is Lelean Memorial School with 1 Gold and 1 Silver, third equal are Sila Central and Nausori High School with 1 Silver each.
In the boys Division:
The battle is between Lelean Memorial School and Defending champions Sila Central.
Lelean Memorial lead with 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze while Sila Central is second with 1 Silver and 1 Bronze and third equal are Ahmadiya Muslim College and Navuso Secondary are tied at third spot with 1 Gold each.
Today a total of 21 gold medals are at stake in the boy’s category while 18 gold medals are at stake in the Girls category.
The Triple N Zone is currently underway at the TFL Stadium.
