People in Rakiraki have been without tap water since yesterday.
A resident Sanjeet Maharaj says many businesses and schools have been affected as there is no water in the town and there is only one truck that carts water to houses and shops.
Meanwhile, a Water supply officer in Rakiraki says the pumps stopped providing water due to a power failure and a Technician from Lautoka will be going to Rakiraki to fix the problem.
He says people are expected get normal water supply from this afternoon.
