About 20 people have been rushed to Rakiraki hospital who received injuries in a bus accident in Waimari after 9am today.
Police said the driver of the bus lost control of the bus on a wooden bridge which had no railings and it plunged into the creek.
Some passengers are reported to have received serious injuries.
Other details of the incident are sketchy at the moment.
